Hawks Come Up Short

In a scrappy game, with few goal-scoring opportunities​, the Hawks didn't do enough to gain at least a share of the points. After a slow start, SCC failed to clear effectively, allowing Cypress to get on the board on twenty minutes. Gradually, the Hawks worked themselves back in to the game but trailed 1-0 at the half.

SCC responded in the second half, and Chloe Helenihi tapped in from close range to tie the contest with 20 minutes still remaining. Minutes later some slack defending allowed Cypress to retake the lead, as they closed-out the scoring at 2-1.

The Hawks now travel to IVC on Tuesday November 5th. Kick-off is at 3pm.​
