Freshman Lauren Tindukasiri tallied a career-high two goals to lead the Santiago Canyon College women's soccer team to a dominant 4-0 victory over Orange Coast College on Friday afternoon in Orange Empire Conference (OEC) play. The win marked the Hawks' sixth straight, keeping them tied atop the conference standings.
SCC has been rolling, outscoring opponents 18-2 during the streak while showcasing balance on both ends of the pitch. Against the Pirates, it was Tindukasiri who set the tone early, scoring in the fourth minute off a feed from freshman Christina Cosenza. She struck again in the 51st minute on a setup from sophomore Rayleen Chairez to push the lead to 2-0. Tindukasiri nearly completed a hat trick later in the match but was denied by the post.
The Hawks kept pressing as freshman Noelle Zuvic converted in the 71st minute on another Chairez assist. Freshman Faith Ammann capped the scoring surge in the 78th minute, finding the net off a pass from Zuvic to seal the 4-0 win.
Defensively, the back line of sophomore Karen Pedraza, freshman Melanie Salazar, Ammann, and sophomore Jordyn Gallegos—who was everywhere on the night—limited Orange Coast to just eight total shots.
In goal, sophomore Mikayla Worcester had a quiet first half without facing a shot before giving way to freshman Ayden Keysers, who registered four saves over the final 45 minutes.
Tindukasiri led the Hawks with four shots, while Chairez, Ammann, and Cosenza each added three.
